"The site is a blank canvas just waiting for a developer to put their stamp on the Western Corridor"

A rare parcel of land zoned for residential development has just been released by the Springfield Land Corporation to cater for South East Queensland's burgeoning population.

The 10 hectare site is approved for up to 330 dwellings and has already attracted keen interest from developers.

Springfield Land Corporation Executive General Manager for Business Development Terry Honan said a shortage of land in the Western Corridor meant this land was a valuable opportunity for investors.

"The site is a blank canvas just waiting for a developer to put their stamp on the Western Corridor," Mr Honan said.

"The Queensland Government's South East Regional Plan identifies the Western Corridor as the area most likely to experience rapid population growth over the next 20 years because of a shortage of housing in nearby areas.

"Greater Springfield will help the state manage these growing pains with a brand new metropolis of 86,000 residents and a mix of residential, commercial and industrial amenities to be built by 2030."

"Now is the time for developers to help build this city and lay the foundations for a solid investment that will deliver returns well into the future."

The development site fronts onto Augusta Parkway and is adjoined by some of the most successful and profitable residential developments in Australia including Brookwater, Augustine Heights and Brentwood.

Mr Honan said the site was fully serviced with water, power and sewage and enjoyed good proximity to lifestyle amenities that would make it a great place to call home.

"It is directly opposite St Augustine's School, next door to a childcare centre and is an easy five minute walk to the award winning Brookwater Golf Course," he said. Other nearby amenities includes the Orion Shopping Centre and the University of Southern Queensland.

"You would be hard pressed to find a development site of this size with pre-approvals and access to world class facilities anywhere else in Queensland, if not Australia."
