Global players continue to see the light in Greater Springfield with international IT solutions company, Dhanush InfoTech, relocating their Asia Pacific headquarters to Springfield Tower. Read More
So momentous was the official opening of their new office last month, CEO of Dhanush InfoTech DSN Murthy flew in from India to join the state Treasurer Andrew Fraser to ‘cut the ribbon’ at a special function at the Brookwater Golf Club.
Set to create up to 200 jobs, the move to Greater Springfield represents an investment of $1.5 million and according to Mr Murthy Greater Springfield provided the best opportunities for their expanding business and future employees after exploring a number of possible locations to move their operation to.
“It’s no wonder the city is fast becoming a popular choice for IT companies because it offers both a great lifestyle and everything needed to get the job done,” he said.
Springfield Land Corporation’s Chairman Maha Sinnathamby welcomed Dhanush to the city saying Greater Springfield was fast establishing itself as the high-tech hub of South East Queensland.
“This is a proud day for Greater Springfield and I’m pleased Dhanush InfoTech has recognised the benefits of running a global business from our city,” he said.
“The company’s decision to establish its Asia Pacific Headquarters in Greater Springfield follows the launch of the $230 million Polaris Centre in February this year and help puts our city on the map for other companies seeking an alternative to Sydney, Melbourne or inner city Brisbane.
“Someone once said that to be successful you should surround yourself with successful people, and that is exactly what Dhanush have done,” he said.
Currently Cardno, GHD, Dalkia, New Hope Coal, Land Partners and USQ are amongst the very successful companies working out of Greater Springfield.
“Office openings in Greater Springfield are my favourite functions because it means the city is growing. I look forward to attending many more over the coming years,” Mr Sinnathamby said.

Springfield Land Corporation has just released a 10ha residential development site in Greater Springfield. As an opportunity that doesn’t come along very often, this is a chance for a savvy developer to make their mark on the emerging city. Read More
The 10ha site is well positioned beside a childcare centre, neighboured by a private school and is adjacent to Brookwater, home to Queensland’s number one golf course, as well as other successful developments that will support the development on this site.
The 10ha site is approved for up to 330 dwellings, is fully serviced with water, power and sewage and has already attracted expressions of interest.
Springfield Land Corporation’s Terry Honan said a shortage of land in the Western Corridor meant the land was a valuable opportunity for investors.
“The Western Corridor will be the area most likely to experience rapid population growth over the next 20 years because of a shortage of housing in nearby areas,” Mr Honan said.
“The city of Greater Springfield will help the state manage this growth with a brand new metropolis of 86,000 residents that already has a mix of residential, commercial and industrial amenities with full completion set to be achieved by 2030.
“Now is the time for developers to help build this city and lay the foundations for a solid investment that will deliver returns well into the future.
The development site fronts onto Augusta Parkway and is adjoined by some of the most successful and profitable residential developments in Australia including Brookwater, Augustine Heights and Brentwood.
“You would be hard pressed to find a development site of this size with pre-approvals and access to world class facilities anywhere else in Queensland, if not Australia.”

Without getting too technical about it, Greater Springfield’s Polaris Data Centre has broadened its service capabilities with the announcement that NEC data centre customers are now able to link to the centre in the event of a disaster. Read More
NEC recently signed a deal with Nextgen Networks to link current operations in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane to the city’s $230 million Polaris Data Centre.
Springfield Land Corporation’s Executive Director for Commercial Development, Chris Schroor, said the deal allows tenants of NEC’s data centres in Mulgrave and Melbourne to connect to the Polaris Data Centre at speeds of up to ten MB per second.
For those who don’t converse in ‘data talk’, that’s the equivalent of downloading 25 typical MP3 music files or 50,000 editions of this email newsletter every minute!
“This deal will allow NEC customers who are not permanently housed in Polaris to use the facility as a disaster recovery site, regardless of their data being stored hundreds of kilometres away.
“There is no facility of the size or technologically advanced nature of Polaris anywhere else in Australia,” Mr Schroor said.
