In a push to improve their bottom line, businesses are moving to Greater Springfield to take advantage of the cost saving and productivity measures available in the thriving Western Corridor.

Springfield Land Corporation’s Executive General Manager for Business Development, Terry Honan, said that by moving to technologically-minded CBDs such as Greater Springfield, business can benefit from lower rents and energy costs than traditional CBDs. There is also the potential to improve staff retention rates.

Mr Honan said by moving out of the city and allowing staff to work closer to home, companies traditionally enhanced staff retention, resulting in immediate improvements in productivity and ultimately profitability.

“Many businesses will see the benefits of trimming excess expenses, such as the cost of replacing employees due to staff turnover.

“Most businesses would be surprised to know the cost of replacing a staff member can exceed that staff member’s annual salary.”

The cost of replacing staff members includes everything  from downturn of production and recruitment expenses, to the loss of intellectual property and customers.

“Businesses looking to take advantage of decreased staff turnover and first-class office precincts should consider Greater Springfield as a viable alternative to inner city options,” Mr Honan said.

Greater Springfield is a strategically planned city that allows people to live, work, learn and play in the one place.

The rapidly growing Springfield CBD offers firstclass office space with added advantages of access to dark fibre, competitive fit-out options, plenty of parking as well as access to childcare facilities.

Springfield Tower, the first high rise office tower to be launched in Greater Springfield, offers 10 levels of “A” grade office space and three levels of underground car parking.

It has also been recently awarded a 4 Star Green Star - Office Design V2 Certified Rating by the Green Building Council Australia.

Starting from just $380/m2 gross at Springfield Technology Park, Greater Springfield can provide tenants with office accommodation, data networking capabilities and a more generous secure car parking allocation than you might expect.

By comparison, Brisbane CBD average rents are $585/m2 gross.

At a saving of about $200/m2 per year, there is an instantaneous effect to a companies bottom line by moving to Greater Springfield.

“Greater Springfield is now experiencing phenomenal growth to satisfy the demand from companies looking to decentralise and take advantage of the ever growing Western Corridor,” said Mr Honan.

Greater Springfield is a city that has the ability to cater for just about any business.

“We currently have the CBD and Education City  precincts in operation with tenants enjoying the cost efficiencies and outstanding facilities Greater Springfield offers them,” Mr Honan said.

Construction is due to begin on Springfield Technology Park in 2009. It will offer building design flexibility and provide significant opportunities for businesses requiring large combined office warehouse space or smaller strata officeswith warehouse space.

The fast growing workforce in Greater Springfield enjoy a choice of residential opportunities presenting different living options from high density apartments in the CBD to luxurious golf course frontage homes in Brookwater.
