The partnership between Delfin Lend Lease and Springfield Land Corporation celebrates its 10 year anniversary this month. In August 1999, the two companies signed the development agreement for Springfield Lakes, which has since grown to a thriving community of almost 10,000 residents.
Over the past 10 years, Delfin Lend Lease and Springfield Land Corporation have enjoyed a significant partnership, which has been instrumental in developing one of the fastest growing regions within Australia, and more importantly, delivering a special place where people like to call home.
Delfin Lend Lease chief executive officer David Keir said Delfin Lend Lease is exceptionally proud to be developing Springfield Lakes and partnering with Springfield Land Corporation.
"What we are working together to deliver at Springfield Lakes and within Greater Springfield is truly world class, and a testament to the passion and foresight of many people." Mr Keir said
"Together with Springfield Land Corporation, Delfin Lend Lease is continuing to evolve the diversity of housing options we offer to constantly meet the changing needs of today's homebuyers, coupled with our strong attention to delivering expansive open space, lakes, educational opportunities and retail and commercial opportunities; Delfin Lend Lease are fully committed to this emerging city development," Mr Keir said.
"Delfin Lend Lease has always enjoyed a strong and successful partnership with Springfield Land Corporation and ten years on, this relationship is only growing stronger," Mr Keir said.
Springfield Land Corporation and Delfin Lend Lease recently renewed and extended their alliance to 2020 and both organisations look forward to continuing to share significant milestones.
Springfield Land Corporation Managing Director Bob Sharpless said the involvement of Delfin Lend Lease was crucial in delivering the vision for Greater Springfield, Australia's fastest growing masterplanned city.
"We are continuing to work with stakeholders to ensure we create a city for the future and the best possible outcomes for the city, of which Delfin Lend Lease has made a significant contribution," said Mr Sharpless.
"Delfin Lend Lease and Springfield Land Corporation will continue to provide the impetus for growth in our emerging city and this is reflected in increased land values citywide.
"Springfield Central is at the centrepiece of this masterplanned city, which has encompassed key requirements such as education, health, business and recreation.
Both Springfield Land Corporation and Delfin Lend Lease have continually worked with Ipswich City Council to develop the region, ensuring the increasing population is supported by the necessary infrastructure features such as world class retail, business, education and health precincts.
Greater Springfield is a fully masterplanned city incorporating residential, commercial and recreational facilities required to be a fully self-functioning city catering for an equivalent population of 105,000 by 2030.
Greater Springfield was just named Queensland's best masterplanned development by the UDIA, and includes the Springfield Lakes masterplanned community and a 360 hectare CBD which includes Orion Town Centre (planned to become one of Australia's largest shopping town precincts), Parkside business precinct and the award-winning Greg Norman-designed Brookwater Golf Course and residential community.
