Education in Greater Springfield

Recognised as a key pillar in Greater Springfield, education has been given particular attention through ongoing investment into ensuring the full range of quality education services and facilities across the area. With 17 early learning centres, 12 schools and the University of Southern Queensland, Greater Springfield has the scope and quality of education to help everyone become a lifelong learner.

Reinforcing this sentiment is Education City which is part of the Knowledge Precinct. Utilising a hub-and-spoke model, Education City provides a central nucleus for education, embraces the vision for lifelong learning opportunities, and forms another intended driver of the Greater Springfield master plan that aims to generate one job for every three residents.

At Greater Springfield, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment that encourages lifelong learning for people of all ages. As a Learning City , Greater Springfield aspires to life-long learning that is expected and valued by the whole community; where learning can be seen and felt to flourish; opportunities and choices abound; and curiosity and discovery are championed.

The Greater Springfield Learning Coalition will nurture a seamless Learning City around four key areas of mutual interest.
